Anna Silk

Anna Silk, born January 31st 1974 in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada is an actress best known for playing Bo on The Showcase Series Lost Girl. Silk was born in Fredericton New Brunswick, Canada. Ilkay Silk and Peter Silk both were scholars. Ilkay was also a director, producer and playwright. She's the Director of Drama at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna recalls her mom watching while at work, and also attending play rehearsals. Silk played in a variety of commercials for kids. She graduated with a Bachelor's in Arts at St. Thomas University in 1997. Theatre St. Thomas was engaged in two of the early stage productions, including Seven Menus (1997) and The Kitchen (1999). Silk moved to Toronto Canada in the month of November of 1999 to continue her acting. Then she moved to Los Angeles California during the next decade. Seth Cooperman is her future husband, who she first discovered in Los Angeles at an Actors workshop. The couple got engaged in 2009, and were married in a civil ceremony in the month of December in that same year. When she converted to Judaism and they were married again in a Jewish ceremony on 10 April 2011, in Fredericton. Silk Cooperman had a baby boy, her son, Samuel Jerome Cooperman, in May of 2013. Levi Aaron is her second son, born on the 13th May, 2016. Silk's TV work includes the role of Cassidy Holland in Being Erica and she won the Gemini Awards nomination in 2009. In 2009 Silk was a part of Bo Dennis, the lead role of Bo Dennis in Lost Girl. Silk was pregnant during filming the final episode of the third series. She announced the pregnancy to fans during the Showcase Season Three pre-show special of 6 January 2013. Silk, who has been working on Lost Girl since the third season finale episode was first conceived on January 6 2013 on Twitter, announced her readiness to return on the 4th of June 2013 when Showcase and Prodigy Pictures began production on fourth season. The CNN Cable News Network named her role as Bo along with Lauren (Zoie Parker) in Lost Girl as same-sex couples among their top TV Couples. E! named them as the most popular TV Couple in 2013.
